Our cosy beamed fisherman's cottage in sought after Irsha Street
is perched on this sea wall with glorious views over the wide and ever changing Taw / Torridge Estuary with its fishing and sailing boats and extensive birdlife. Hear the roar of the Atlantic breakers, the ripple of the tide lapping the sea wall and the call of the gulls; watch the sun setting into the ocean; stroll along the quayside with its welcoming shops and indulge in a Devon cream tea; relax in one of the waterside pubs, well known for their excellent food, just two minutes walk from the Cottage. Explore the numerous rock pools, 'crab' over the garden wall, or visit the long golden sandy beach
one mile away for swimming, surfing & sandcastles. Bike along
the Tarka trail, take a picnic along the north Devon coastal path
or play a round of golf at the oldest links course in the country
or just lounge in the garden and watch the boats go by!
